We Came Through “Hunger And Torn Clothes”: Angel Town Celebrates Sarkodie

Multiple award-winning rapper, Sarkodie, marks a new year on earth today.  As expected, tons of messages have flooded social media in celebration of his talent and legacy. 

Prominent among these touching messages is one from the artist’s manager, Angel Town.

Angel who doubles as a broadcaster for Entertainment magazine show, Star Buzz, recounted their unsteady start, as well as what a great adventure their partnership has turned out to be over the years. 

Indeed, Angel Town and Sarkodie represent a minute percentile of African artists who have had a run spanning several years.

He wrote, “Yo bro….how are you doing …am happy to see how far we hv come together … we hv come such a long way from those hard sad mad bad days of hunger n torn clothes☹️ to today that we even have an option what to eat and we got decent shirts too🙏🏽…

Those days of walking everywhere we had to be and get there with dusty and dirty feet’s and Get sent back 🤷🏾‍♂️ to today that we drive our own cars get chauffeured around and sometimes even escorted by the police with so much attention oh Yh n we got some clean sweet shoes and sneakers now 😊 from those days that I escorted you walk half way through a journey cos the borrowed money that we had cldnt pay for the full fare and could only cover one persons trotro fare from that half way point to the destination and I walk back home to now that we fly first n business class around the world Bro ✈️✈️✈️let me just save those memories fast forward woke up seen everybody posting you everywhere saying some really dope stuff about you and Yh your photos am seeing geeeez what happened to your over drawn jaw line n your super skinny self 😂😂🤔 they calling you cool names tooo I heard people say KING SARK others said LIVING LEGEND and ooh even that really sick new talent @kwesiarthur_ said they call you LANDLORD am like huh 😳😂 in recent times they said sark is a 🐐 G.O.A.T GREATEST OF ALL TIME chaiii 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 and it’s all reality bro for a second I thought it was a dream….

Sarkodie is a multiple-award-winning act —possibly the most celebrated on the continent. He’s also CEO of SarkCess Music, under which protégé Strongman Burner, and Highlife singer Akwaboah are signed. His fifth album, “Highest”, is out on iTunes.

KK Fosu releases Lovers Rock single with Adina

Contemporary Highlife singer, KK Fosu latest single ‘Lovers Rock’ looks to heat up music charts, and possibly win new fans, with the help of Adina.The singer debuts his new song, “Lovers Rock,” which is set to be premiered nationwide on radio stations.In a statement about the song, KK Fosu gushed about the track. “The song is about pure heart is which is hard to buy with money”, he said.

“I’ve put a lot of love and energy into making this single special. I hope my fans can feel it, he continued. We always feel things when we listen to KK Fosu sing. “I chose Adina because of her style, and I wanted to bring a flavor of the highlife and that of the R&B feel. Sedi Adayi launches His Debut Album Titled, Me.

Me, is a semi autobiographical album that expresses concerns of a millennialChristian who identifies as a traditional folk music artiste in Ghana.ACCRA, August 16, 2018 – Sedi Adayi, a traditional folk music artiste launchesMe, his debut album now available on various music hubs including Apple Music.Traditional folk music in Ghana is ingrained in Ghana’s history. Like folktales,traditional folk music has features of storytelling. Sedi customises this genre bygiving personal accounts of his experiences and impressions of certain topics.

Me, begins lightly: it is humorous. Mid-album, Sedi allows us explore his thoughtswith him and listeners get a firmer grip of his tonality in his story telling. Thealbum ends with Sedi crooning about his belief system and Christianity. It is then apparent that Me’s target audience, although not limiting to, extensively includes young Christian adults.

Many entertainment industry players and stakeholders alike adviced media personals to organize more musical concerts which will help grow the music industry in our country, Ghana.

As part of accepting this positive advice, Ghana will soon introduce the biggest PAN African Music Festival in Ghana.

It aims at Connecting Africa and the Dispora through the Power of Music as music and dance has played a major role in the lives of individuals.

The PAN African Music Festival will be a 2-days Musical and Cultural Festival as on
Day 1; It will host Afro Connect Honors and
Day 2; The Big Outdoor Music Concert which will host artists from Ghana, Nigeria, East Africa, South Africa, the USA, Jamaica and more.

This major event will help in promoting the tourism sector of Ghana as it comes with major side attractions such as; “The Cultural Exhibition”, “The African Print Fashion Show”, and “Top Disapora Musicians”.
