The people of Kwahu readies to host the 3rd edition of the “Bliss On The Hills” music festival, which adds on another spice this year as boxing has been introduced from the 25th to the 31st of December 2018.

The yearly event which was instituted by Honorable Bryan Acheampong under the auspices of the kwahu Republic seeks to make the name Kwahu simultaneous to the word Christmas just as it is with kwehu and Easter. The activities during the festive seasons is envisaged to carry a lot of not just entertainment and goodwill to the people of kwahu but to open it up for business, tourism and growth as it becomes the center of attraction during such celebrations in the future.

“Bliss on the hills is an event which will not only bring thousands of revelers to Kwahu during the Yuletide, but will also give many a variety of stories to tell to attract more tourist to the subsequent year’s events.” He added that, “Uniting 100,000 people through music is the main objective of the organizers” Shared by Kwesi Ernest of Media Excel.

The six day event will be marked by a series of activities with a gospel night on the 25th opening the show, which will have performers such as; S.P Kofi Sarpong, Francis Ajei, Yaw Sarpong, Francis Amo, Cece Twum, Obaapa Christie, Gifty Osei, Diana Asamoah, Kesewa and others.

Day two will see the return of Bukom Banku into the ring after his humiliating defeat. On the day which is boxing day, the people of Kwahu will have a feel of the best of boxing matches ever witnessed as Ayittey Powers and others gets ready to ramble. On the 27th which marks day 3 of the gathering, there will be an Afro pop night, which replaces last year’s hip life night and will line up the leaders of both the old and the new school as VVIP, Wendy Shay, Kidi, Obrafour, Praye, Captain Planet, Lil Win, Dada Hafco among others.

The 4th day of the week-long event which falls on the 28th will be designated to be an open day for sightseeing at the various Kwahu tourist sites; the steep cliff, the bruku shrine, Oku Tafo, the gaping rock in Kotoso among others.

The 29th which will be much anticipated as the “She’s Royal” crooner who is An American Reagge singer with Jamaica decent, Tarrus Riley leads the likes of Samini, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Ras Kuku, Jupitar, Epixode among others to steam up the place with not soon to forget performances.

The “Bliss On The Hills” is an initiative of the Hon. Bryan Acheampong, MP of Kwahu Abetifi who believes this event will not only entertain the people but will also create economic empowerment avenues, establish and grow tourism, art and skills in various ways. The event, in its 3rd year is gradually becoming a music festival and its positioning Kwehu as the center of happiness. It’s being organized by the Kwehu Republic with support from Media Excel, Event Factory and Azumah Nelson Boxing Promotions.

At JF we believe that individual differences in children are a natural part of life, and that disabilities provide children and adults with unique perspectives, insights and abilities which contribute to the overall well-being of society. Jenny’s Foundation values children as the hope for the evolving improvement of humankind, and places great value on the family as a caring protector of children’s vulnerability, as well as a catalyst for their healthy growth and development, and places a tremendous value on parents because of the contributions they make as the leaders of families toward supporting the health, education, and development of their children at home and in society.
