Talented 5 Years Old Ghanaian-Swiss Actress Wins Award In Hollywood

Published

on

Fast-rising young Ghanaian-Swiss actress Lina Prior has made motherland Ghana proud at just ended ‘The Celebrity Experience’ at Universal Studio in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

The natural born talent was awarded ‘TCE Best Kid Commercial Look’ during the award night for her excellent performance in the 7-day talent program.

The ‘Celebrity Experience’ is an exclusive interactive program that occurs over five days in various locations around the world. During this incredible experience, they provide tools for success and opportunities for young performers to work in-person with celebrities and experience what it means to work in the entertainment industry first hand.

The Celebrity Experience unites performers with Hollywood and international TV and Film stars.

Every performer is able to see from an inside perspective what it means to work in the entertainment industry.

Aspiring actors gain valuable real-life experience by performing with celebrities, shooting scenes in a movie studio with a full crew and a Hollywood director while creating a reel of their work which is a rare and unique opportunity for aspiring performers.

The ability to present a body of work in their reel, done in cooperation with real celebrities, provides a (unique) advantage to stand out from the crowd.

Actors are taught to think like a business professional at a young age and perform in front of large audiences which help the young performer blossom.

Lina’s name first came to limelight when she got a lead role in TCE UK edition at the age of 4 and another lead role in TCE LA at the age of five.

This year’s event was graced by actress and singer Vanessa Hudgens who’s shared her breakthrough story with the young actors.

Kuami Eugene and King Promise

Muse Africa, the number one name in music, urban pop culture and Africa’s millennial engagement platform has announced nominees for its quarterly social media music awards dubbed: “Bangerz of the Quarter”.

The latter is designed to celebrate the biggest songs that made “MADD” waves on social media, on MuseAfrica.com and across the capital.

Bangerz of the Quarter duration for the second edition is starting May to August 2018.

In talking about the Muse Africa Bangerz of the Quarter social media awards, head of editorial for Muse Africa, George Wiredu Duah, explained the idea as a way to celebrate the biggest songs that made us dance, think and relax every quarter.

“The awards started off in the first quarter from January to April and it had winners likes Kidi, Guilty Beats, Kwesi Arthur, Yaa Pono, Stonebwoy Agbeshie and StrongMan’ – he noted.

George also mentioned that this edition of Bangerz of the Quarters has added some new categories to the already existing ones such as; Hip Life, hi-life, Reggae / Dancehall, Hip hop, Afrobeats, Introlude and the biggest award – Song of the Quarter.

He lamented that new categories such as ‘TwoSome’, Artiste Hustle of the Quarter, Female Artiste, Male Artiste, Mood All Quarter, African Artiste and Producer of the Quarter have been added because of the huge desire to celebrate the music and the musician that made waves on social media.

In his ending words, George Wiredu Duah, head of Muse Africa editorial stressed that voting for the awards are done on social media – i.e. @MuseAfrica and on the website MuseAfrica.com.

The social media public gets to have 60% of the votes while a team made up of DJ and TV/Radio presenters plus Muse Music Curators gets 40%.
