Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Others To Perform At The 2019 MVAs.

GREATER ACCRA, GHANA – A legion of Ghanaian mainstream (A-List) recording and performing artiste will be entertaining a host of patrons at the 10th installment of MTN 4Syte Music Video Awards.

Slated for 16th November, 2019 at the Kempinski Gold Coast City hotel, the event will witness performances from Grammy award nominee; Stonebwoy, BET Hip Pop Award winner; Sarkodie, controversial dancehall artiste; Shatta Wale, Rapper Kwaw Kese, R2Bees. They will be supported by DarkoVibes, Wendy Shay, Medikal, RJZ, Quamina MP and Lord Paper.

Celebrating a decade since its inception, the awards night promises to leave remarkable memory on the minds of patrons, as the enlisted performers are poised for action with their undiluted talent.

4syte TV over the years since the installment of the award scheme has encouraged more artistes to invest heavily in the production of their music videos. This has resulted in the delivery of excellent videos by some of these artistes and has as such raised the bar in the scope of music videos in the country. The awards event is to reward creativity in the production of music videos released between 2018 and 2019.

Government Eulogize Organizers Of MTN 4Syte Music Awards.

GREATER ACCRA, GHANA - Ghana's government ministry responsible for the development and promotion of tourism-related activities, Ministry of Tourism, under the able auspices of Madam Barbara Oteng Gyasi, has congratulated the organizers of MTN 4Syte Music Video Awards after the latter paid an official visit to the ministry, in Accra.

The minister in charge of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts eulogized the organizers of the prestigious awards for celebrating a decade since the inception of the firm, and gave them her good wishes for this year's sequel. She acknowledged their efforts through the years, encouraging them to continue the amazing work they have been doing in the music industry.

Madam Barbara Oteng Gyasi, also praised the organizers for their role in seeing to it that the youth of Ghana have a 'home' to call their own, showing a sign of gratitude to them, for supporting the tourism sphere of Ghana. However, she promised that she would be present on the night with her team to have a 'good time', and also pledging her unflinching support to the event.

The organizers on their path expressed their sincere joy to the Minister and promised to continue giving their best, all the time - for the good of Ghana.

Celebrating a decade since its inception, South African multinational mobile telecommunications company MTN Group Limited, formerly M-Cell, in collaboration with Ghana's number one urban entertainment and music video channel, 4syte TV has launched the 2019 edition of certified music video recognition scheme, MTN 4Syte Tv Music Video Awards (MVAS)

The event is slated for November 2019 and will be hosted at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra. The categories of Music videos to be awarded are the following: Best Gospel Music, Best Special Effect, Best Edited Video, Best Video Storyline, Best Photography, Best Reggae/Dancehall Video, Best Choreography Video and Best Discovery Video. The rest of the categories for the video awards are Best Male, Best Female, Best Group, Best African Act Video, Hi-Life, Best HipLife, Best Collaboration and Best HipHop Videos. There will also be awards for Best Directed Video, Most Popular Video and the Overall Best Video. An Achievement Award will also be given.

As part of the 10th-anniversary, a new plaque has been unveiled to climax the celebration of the MTN 4Syte music video awards, and also, special awards categories have been introduced which are the ‘New Lords’ and ‘Big Chune’. In the New Lords Category, the most active record labels shall nominate a new act each from their camp. The labels are, Highly Spiritual, Lynx Entertainment, Rufftown Records, Legacy Life Entertainment, Bhim Nation, and BAM. Shortlisting voting will be conducted on the social media pages of 4syte TV and MTN to select the final four. These final four will be entered into a twitter and Facebook poll a week before the main awards to select a winner.

The Big Chune Category, will be awarded to the biggest Ghanaian song of the year in terms of radio airplay, online streams and plays, and general buzz overall. Two online music data platforms (Kwesema and Ghud Music) with five all-time best radio DJ’s will be tasked to submit their choices to this category. Five finalists will be put up for voting. Fans have 100% control over who wins in this category.

Speaking at the launch, Chief Executive Office (C.E.O.) of 4Syte Tv, Mr. Ignace Hego, indicated that the 10th anniversary of MTN 4syte Music Video Awards will celebrate excellence in the production of music videos and raise the standards of music video production in Ghana, and commenting on the launch of this year’s awards, the Chief Marketing Officer for MTN Mr. Noel Kojo- Ganson expressed his excitement about the fact that MTN as an enabler of opportunities is once again paving the way for unique talents in the entertainment industry to be celebrated through the MTN4SYTE Music video awards.

MTN has demonstrated its commitment to supporting the creative arts industry in various ways including sponsorship of the Ghana Music Awards for 10 years, MTN Stars of the Future, MTN Music festival, MTN Hitmaker, MTN Ghana stands in Worship Concerts, 4syte Music Video Awards and a host of others.

Prior to launch of the music awards, 4syte TV opened nominations for entries into the 10th edition of the MTN 4syte TV Music Video Awards, between Friday 13th September 2019 to Saturday 28th September 2019. Submission of entries were done on 4syte TV’s instagram page by reposting the short video calling for nominations. In the caption, the artiste under listed the music video they were submitting and provide the Artiste Name, the Song Title; Video Director and the date the video was released.

The artiste then tag @mtnghana and @4syteTv. After the submission of entire, an automatic congratulatory message confirming receipt of the submission would be sent to the artiste after the post and the video entered into the submission list.

The 9th edition of 4Syte TV Music Video Awards 2017 was a night of spectacular celebration of Ghanaian and African musics. The event which was held at the Accra International Conference Center, A.I.C.C – Ghana, saw a lot of marvelous performances from artistes; Stonebwouy, VVIP, Becca, Praiz, Captain Planet (of the 4×4 fame) and many others. The Rap King, Sarkodie surprised the audience with his appearance on the stage and got everyone on their feet.The Red carpet was glamorous as it featured most of Ghanaian celebrities who graced the occasion. MCs, Jay Foley and DKB thrilled the fans who attended the event with finest of trending news in Ghana especially on Twitter the past week. With DJ Vyrosky giving back to back tunes of all time getting everyone on their feet dancing. Organizers of the event, 4Syte TV, went on another level of their stage settings, lightening and good sound, giving harmony in the eyes of all who made it to the event. It was another successful showdown.

A tribute and a moment of silent was made for the late Terry Bonchaka.
