In the midst of an undying feud between the followers of the Shatta movement and the fans of Nigerian Musician Wizkid which was sparked by a comment Shatta wale made, – “I don’t see Wizkid as a superstar” – that generated a strong social media heat between followers of the two was laid to rest after Shatta Wale was united with Wizkid at this year’s Ghana meet Nigeria as the former openly called Wizkid his brother and a superstar, but guess what he called himself.
The Honcho of the Shatta Movement was introduced on stage by Wizkid to perform his freedom and currently raining Gringo hit songs. Midway through his performance, he addressed Wizkid a superstar and called himself a “fucking” super star, surprised? Don’t be that’s who Shatta Wale has shown us he is. A typical example of the Nigerian’s own popular phrasing “We never dey carry last”.
Shatta Wale’s introduction was the biggest surprise on the night, but fans were left unsatisfied with his performance when he dashed off stage after performing only two songs.
Though the musician was not billed to perform, his appearance was highly anticipated not only beacuase of series of tweets but also he is seen as the only Ghanaian to match up to Wizkid and win for Ghana on the night.
Other arts that performed or made stage appearances on the night were Nana Yaa, Bam All Stars, Kurl Songx, Obibini and A.I, Kumi Guiter, Sista Efya, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Dice Alice, Medikal, Kwesi Authur, Tic, Edem, Patapaa, Asamoah Gyan, King Promise, Mugeez, Fancy Gadam, Yaa Pono, Mr Eazi, Mayorkun and Stonebwoy.
Ghana meets Nija is an initiative by Empire Entertainment to bring together Ghanaian and Nigerian arts in a collaborative manner than for a competition, over the years the brand has not failed its purpose and did not yesterday as well.
This year’s edition of the eight years running event was dubbed, “Rescue Mission” and the Fantasy Dome of the Trade Fair Center which played host to the event was filled to the brim with patrons who were eager, stood on chairs to witness and capture the moments on phones. Not forgetting those who broke out onto the main stage to touch and celebrate their favorite arts, but got prevented by the superb security present.

Keche Inks A $500,000 Record Deal With Golden Empire Records.
Ghanaian based music recording label, Golden Empire Legacy has officially signed a whooping USD 500,000 music recording deal with multiple awards winning musicians Joshua Kojo Ampah and Andrew Kofi Cudjoe professionally known as Keche, to its label.
The signing of the award winning duo was slated for Tuesday, 16th April, 2019 and hosted at the plush premises of the Gold dealership entity at East Legon, with the objective of unveiling the artistes as first performing acts to debut the company's record label.
As part of the deal, the music duo, Keche received a 3 bedroom house and a brand new Hyundai Saloon car for each.
The event garnered the presence of some notable dignitaries, including the Manager of the lads cum CEO of GB Interactive, George Britton, CEO of Golden Empire Legacy Limited, Mss. Joana Gyan, Rev. Dr. Clottey and some news men, including, bloggers, news writers, promoters, DJ, TV and Radio presenters at the venue.
Speaking at the event, CEO of Golden Empire Legacy Limited Ms. Joana Gyan revealed that, their mission is to grow Golden Empire Legacy records into the music powerhouse of Africa. By collaborating with artists, African creatives, local and international partners, they can become a globally recognized household name and the go-to platform for connecting African music with the world.
Golden Empire Legacy Records is focused on scaling operations to meet the rapidly growing international demand for African music, on growing its rooster and on strengthening its services across A&R, touring, marketing, distribution, publishing and partnerships.
According to the CEO, the record label will work with Keche for the next 2 years adding that, its going to be a 360 [business] relationship where with the help of CEO of George Britton Interactive, Mr. George Mensah Britton, the record label will be managing Keche — Golden Empire Records will be taking care of the group's recordings, distribution and marketing.
Ms. Joana Gyan added that, with immediate effect, Golden Empire Legacy Records will be responsible for everything that has to do with artiste management and their brand elevating as Keche.

Once again, the biggest tertiary hall week celebrations came around and attracted people from all corners of the country.With events ranging from car washes, dogs shows, marathons, basketball tournaments,electrifying concerts and absolutely insane parties and raves.The most popular of these events were hosted by the phenomenal Kojo Manuel from the 15-
year old Epilogo party through Orjinal Beats jams and the Vodafone X Concert with featured Stonebwoy, Yaa Pono, La Meme Gang and Dope Nation. Also, hosted various off campus events.
Working closely with DJs like Neizer, Sleek, Aroma, iPhone DJ and others, Manny Yo further established himself as the rave master and TurnUp General as he drove the crowd through various brand activations and products to energetically jamming with the KNUST crowd. Safe to say, if you were at Repu 2019, you mostly likely jammed with Kojo Manuel at at least
