Sarkodie Apologized to the Public not me – Freddy Meiway

Published

on

Ivorian musician Freddy Meiway who has been involved in a back and forth with Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie for a while now with respect to the latter not being able to feature on a song the former sent and afterwards apologized on twitter after being lashed and tagged as disrespectful.

Freddy in an interview with Joy news, described sarkodie’s act as not an attempt to apologize to him, but rather the public for not calling him on the phone to explain things like he did when he wanted to communicate his intentions to feature him.

He said, “It’s a mistake. The first time I wanted to work with him, I searched for his number and called him via phone. I didn’t sit on social media. So, if Sarkodie wanted to apologize for his inability to feature on my song, the best thing for him to do then was to call and explain things.”

Quizzed by the host, “Don’t you think he used social media because the story went viral?”

He responded, “Maybe he wanted to apologize to the public and not me, he never called me” he ended.

He returned, he saw, and he conquered. From record sales to sold-out concerts, Shatta Wale shifted the paradigm of African Dancehall. Beyond doubt, he’s a game changer, and a fearless revolutionist who uses his music for a purpose – to liberate minds from mental slavery and oppression, motivate his following to go all-out to make ends meet, fight against the ills of the system, hit hard at critics and rivals, and move people to dance to his rhythm. Overtime, Shatta Wale has proven his versatility in Africa’s music industry; he can do reggae & dancehall, afro beats, hip-life and afro- dance music. However, primarily, he’s a dancehall artiste, in fact, the most awarded dancehall artiste in Africa. If we had the chance to create a dream album for Shatta Wale from his releases, here’s what it’ll look like, and we’ll call our compilation, “The Annihilation”. (Flash Africa)

Kofi Kinaata Premieres The Performance Video For “Things Fall Apart”

Takoradi-based hiplife artiste, Kofi Kinaata has finally released the long-awaited video for his song ‘Things Fall Apart’. The song became a hit immediately after its release in October 2019. Ghanaians on social media instantly pointed out scenarios in the song they can relate to in daily life.

The song, which questions whether people indeed are worshipping God as they claim, did not only excite fans but had them thinking twice about the life they live. Kofi Kinaata in the song is not afraid to call out people who behave like they are the perfect Christians to ever exist while committing the gravest of sins in their dark alleys.

The video is set in a church, in a club and also houses of some people who claim to be devout worshippers of God. The ladies and men find themselves in clubs partying and drinking like there is no tomorrow. A landlord, who basically behaves like the church is his, throws out a tenant with a child who has literally nowhere to go.

A rich man played by the host of Hitz Gallery on Hitz FM, Dr Pounds, refused to help this stranded woman when she knocked on his door but in church sprays money on the pastor like he owns the Central Bank of Ghana. In another scene, some boys playing a board game run away when they spot some preachers coming their way and a Muslim man steals shoes from the mosque after prayers.

‘Things Fall Apart,’ both the song and video, throws into the face of Ghanaians the pretentious lives they live while they try to convince people otherwise.
