Reenart World… The New Standard For Weddings And Corporate Events.

Published

on

”I once chanced on the funeral book of an aged woman who had gone to be with the Lord. The only photograph of her in the book was actually of her and some other friends while they were still in middle school”, expresses Lucy Baagyei-Danso.

Only a few decades ago, one would trade and arm and a leg to have a photograph taken of oneself but now, the story is very much different. Trends have changed and they keep evolving. Gradually, we have moved away from single and occasional photography to collages, videos and more importantly, lasting memories. Weddings typically, used to be in the church setting; the couple said their vows and the priest preached and the deed was done. Years down the line, only a flicker of a memory would remain. And technology set in and the story has never remained the same.

Hospitality is fast gaining a lot of attention in our social space. Competition is rife among event planners and this has led to a great hike in the industry’s development. Every event planner wants to be known but only a few are able to dazzle and leave a lasting impression on their clients.

Ghana’s stunning coastline runs 560 kilometres from Aflao in the Volta Region to Cape Three Points in the Western Region. With an average temperature of 30 degrees in December, it’s no surprise that we’ve chosen this incredible location as our next festival destination. Amazing beaches can be found in abundance along the Ghana coastline, the ever-popular Laboma Beach being one of them. Patoranking Thrill Paul Kagame, Others At Youth Connekt Africa Summit – 19 In Rwanda.

African reggae/dancehall, superstar Patoranking, graced the Youth Connekt Africa Summit recently in Kigali, Rwanda, speaking briefly to over 7,000 representatives from across Africa, on his take as an artist from Nigeria; on the relationship between youths and the government.

He highlighted a few issues we share as Africans relating with each other, one of which is our lack of love for one another, the boundaries built high in the form African visas and other man-made obstacles that prevent us from embracing and communicating with one another.

He also got to meet the longest ruling President of Rwanda- President Paul Kagame, who has not only changed the face of Rwanda as a country but has also invested in its youth, yielding huge returns for the country. Youth Connekt Africa Summit is a gathering of African youths and personalities to discuss, share, iron out, impact and create a change amongst Africans, building more networking opportunities for African youth and representatives from all over Africa.

An energetic, yet engaging performance from the African superstar at the concert later that night had everyone, dignitaries included on their feet, gyrating to his catalogue of hits. Performing live with his band- Fire Republik was the highlight of the night.

On his last day in the city of a thousand hills, Patoranking paid his respects at the Kigali Memorial Centre to the Rwandans that lost their lives in the Genocide of 1994. His last night in Rwanda had him at dinner with Chelsea FC legend, Didier Drogba whom he met earlier at the memorial.

We can boldy say that this is definitely not the last visit to Rwanda by the award-winning artist as he has shared her tears and called her his home also.

VOLTA REGION, GHANA - Ghanaian rap recording artist, and entertainer christened Denning Edem Hotor, who is professionally known for his musicianship as Edem (@iamedem), has revealed the date and venue for the 2019 edition of the most attended annual outdoor musical concert tagged, "Edem Fest"

Schedule to occur on 1st November, 2019 and to be hosted at the Aborigines Beach Resort, Edemfest was conceived as part of brand Edem’s Corporate Social Responsibility, as an avenue to remind Ghanaians of an illustrious heritage as a people, and a wake-up call for them to preserve the very culture that makes them unique.

This year's edition of the festival is aimed marking the "Year Of Return" initiative by Government of Ghana, as the Volta Regime Music Group (VRMG) boss also has the objective of inculcating a sense of Pan-Africanism on the minds of the diaspora who will be touring Ghana.

This year's edition of the festival will roll out to be the third since its inception. A day-long event highlighted by a grand musical concert, Edemfest consists of various activities catering to art, culture, tourism, and business. Previous editions were held on the Keta High Street, and Aborigines, with the core aim of raising awareness on illegal fishing and tackling sand winning, and open defecation respective.

The event will be attended by over 20,000 patrons —double of the number they recorded last year. It is clear that Edemfest 2019, aside reconnecting Ghanaians to a wonderful heritage and reviving confidence in their potential, will go a long way towards contributing to the economic development of the area, as well as fostering budding talent from there.

Edem’s career began modestly — pounding on school desks and sleeping on studio floors. And so, he considers it a great blessing to reach the heights that he has, and to possess an influential voice. Whenever he sit to reflect on his journey thus far, his heart brims with joy, but at the same time, he reminded of the responsibilities a person in his position automatically assumes —one to leave his society better than he met it. Undoubtedly, music is a powerful tool, and his music has constantly served as a great platform to share his story, and inspire fellow youth who nurse hopes of a better life.

Edem appeared on Voice of America where he talked about his “Nyedzilo” video, which features Mavin Records’ very own Reekado Banks, and his videos such as “The One”, featuring Sway that talks about Africa’s liberation and his award-winning song Koene that were previously featured on Music Time Africa by Heather Maxwell and Vincent Makori.

In 2006, he released his first radio hit single “Witine Woshi”, which translates as “we came and they ran”. It gained much popularity in his region and added to his underground reputation. That year, he got together officially with The Last Two Entertainment Group, headed by the hit maker Hammer of The Last Two. This label is responsible for artists including Obrafour in 1999, Tinny and the madman Kwaw Kesse in 2005.

Edem appeared at live shows, significantly as the opening act for the John Legend concert at the International Conference Center in Accra in 2000. Before his debut album, he collaborated with other acts, especially with Obrafour. He went on a national tour with Obrafour.
