“We Are Not Accepting Nudity On MGL Platforms. – M.D., Santokh Singh
The Managing Director of Multimedia Group Limited (MGL)-Multi TV, Mr. Santokh Singh has hinted that, any short film that integrates a song with imagery, and is produced for promotional or artistic purposes; music video that contains nudity won't gain an air play on the media group's plaforms.
According to the Managing Director of the media entity, this decision has the objective of sensitizing uncultured and unethical products that are being consumed by the general public, a development he claims is leading the youth astray.
He made this revelation while speaking to astute Radio presenter and Disc Jockey, Andrew Amoh popularly known as Andy Dosty on an Accra-based Hitz 103.9 FM which is a subsidiary company to Multimedia Group Limited (MGL), Ghana.
Mr. Santokh who expressed disappointment in how some musicians use their position as celebrity to promote nudity in their music videos stated that, nudity especially in the music videos and as brand is draining the youth, as a lot of the young folks follow them and see them as their role models.
According to Mr. Santokh, musicians can use their voices and music videos to promote themselves in a positive way and not always using models who are half naked on social media.
He reiterated that his office as the Managing Director Multi TV (Multimedia Group Limited), won’t entertain any music video that has nudity in it and won’t promote personalities who expose themselves on social media irrespective your brand.
The Managing Director of Multimedia Group Limited (MGL)- Multi TV, Mr. Santokh Singh urge Ghanaian celebrities and other traditional mass communication media to succumb to treatment and come together to project the African continent in a healthy way.

Mark Okraku Mantey Clamps Down On Nudity In Music Videos.
The President of the Creative Arts Industry and entertainment critic, Mark Okraku Mantey, has slammed musicians for always using half naked girls in their music videos.Advertisement
According to Mark, he cannot comprehend why in most music videos, the men are fully covered while the females are practically naked.
He stated that such act is not right adding that musicians must portray the culture of Ghana in their videos and stop showing explicit content.
Mark Okraku Mantey further stated that there should be a system to check such things and how the youth also consume explicit content.
“Most of our videos, you will see the woman half naked and the man fully dressed. It sends a signal that the men are covering themselves and making the women be girls, and it’s not cool.
Sarkodie’s Lucky video, for example, Sarkodie was full dressed-all white but the ladies in Bikini exposing their parts, why?.
We must build our culture. We need to have a system that checks how young people consume sexual content”, Mark Okraku noted.
It is very common to see naked or half-clothed girls in music videos in recent times and musicians claim that such scenes make the video attractive and pleasing to watch.
Some musicians also claim that “sex sells” and having naked girls in their music videos also portrays the beauty of women.
