Obrafuor Set To Premier Pae Mu Ka Documentary At 3rd Edition Of Social Media Week Accra.

Legendary Ghanaian musician, Obrafuor, is set to premier the much awaited Pae Mu Ka, a documentary telling the his 20 year story in the Ghana Music Industry at the Silverbird Cinemas as part of activities to mark this year’s Social Media Week activities in Accra. The documentary throws light primarily on Obrafour’s first album – Pae Mu Ka and on the key happenings in the industry since Obrafuor seminal entry into the Ghana Music Industry.

Ekow Thompson, the Executive Director of Interactive Digital, organising partners of the SMW Accra said, the partnership with Obrafuor and the premiering of the Pae Mu Ka Documentary is directly in line with the global theme of SMW – STORIES: With Great Influence, Comes Great Responsibility.

Throughout history, storytelling has been an integral part of human connectedness, exhibiting great potential to shape who we are. Today storytelling is changing and technological innovation has proven to be an enabler of the change in storytelling. Social media today is the world’s most influential storytelling platform. Whatever form they take, the stories we tell through social media have the power to reach and influence more than 60% of people on the planet.

Obrafuor, speaking to the partnership said, “We are delighted to be a part of the SMW Accra activities, indeed, by far SMW Accra is the most exciting and enterprising engagement on the benefits and endless possibilities of social media and other digital technologies – premiering my documentary (Lyrics of a legend) at this event is opportunity to tell our story in context”.

Obrafour is marking twenty years since the release of his maiden album with a number of activities including a concert at the Accra International Conference Centre on the 9th of November 2019.

SMW Accra will take place from the 25th to the 27th of September across three centres – Silver Bird Cinemas, the Accra Mall and MultiChoice Office. The documentary will be premiered at the Silver Bird Cinemas on the 27th of September 2017 at 7pm and will be followed by a panel discussion with well-seasoned industry speakers.

Ghanaian celebrated rap and hiplife artiste, Enoch Nana Yaw Oduro- Agyei, known by his stage name as, Trigmatic has celebrated veteran highlife artiste, Ebo Taylor at the second edition of his much anticipated musical concert dubbed, “Osagyefo Night”

During the annual well-attended Osagyefo’s Night Concert, Trigmatic took 10 minutes to celebrate Ebo Taylor, calling him on stage and together with KOD & A.I presented him with a kente woven sash & plaque in honor of his contributions to music. Trigmatic, AI, KOD & Ebo Taylor’s son Henry Taylor then hit the stage to perform a single of his new album PALAVER.

The concert which was slated for September 21, 2019, 7:00pm at the Alliance Française, Accra. Initiated in 2018, saw the rapper and hiplife artiste a host of his old classics and included new songs off his upcoming album ‘The Eighth Element’ which comes out on the 8th of October 2019.

The event is a continuation of an annual concert programmed to be held on the eve of Nkrumah’s birthday which also happens to be a national holiday in Ghana.

The concert also has the objective of celebrating a life well lived, legacies of freedom, achievements in music and values that Nkrumah believed in. It also seek to celebrate Osagyefo Nkrumah’s change and progress in Africa; All through music.

The "Osagyefo Night" also witnessed some numerous perfromances from Some Ghanaian creative and arts pratictioners, including Dela Botri, Ozzie & The Others, A.J. Nelson & the Africa Band, Sonny Rhymes, Epixode, the Safoa Band and Uncle Ebo Taylor.

Shatta Wale Thrill Fans At Infinix ‘Hot 8 Invasion’.



Africa’s Dancehall King Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale has got nothing to prove to anyone at this current level of his career, he has proven beyond doubts anytime he is on stage that he is the best to rock it better for the fans and music lovers.

Last night at Legon during the ‘Infinix Hot 8 Invasion’ concert, his corporate performance has been recorded as one of the historic nights, entertaining a large crowd made up of the streets, corporate bodies, foreigners, actors and actresses etc.

Few days ago, Shatta Wale was announced as the new brand ambassador for ‘Infinix Mobile Ghana’ one of the fastest rising mobile manufacturing technology giant in the world, they put together a concert to launch their newest addition to their numerous mobile series ‘Infinix Hot8’ smart phone.

An event was organized to officially launch the phone at Legon City Mall.

Shatta Wale thrilled patrons at the event with back to back hit songs, he entered the stage with ‘Maya Tra’ hit song followed by ‘Hosanna’ which featured Burna Boy etc.

The fans cheered him up till he ended his performance in about an hour of entertainment and unveiling ceremony of Infinix Hot8 smart phone.

Our sources say, they sold over 500 infinix Hot8 phones at the events.

Samini To Represent Ghana At GUBA Awards.



Legendary Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artiste christened, Emmanuel Andrews Sammini, popularly known within the entertainment circles as, Samini, is set to lead an army of music fanatics and patrons through an estimated 1 hour of performance at the 2019 edition of the Ghana UK Based Achievement (GUBA) Awards.

The "Untamed Album" crooner whose genre of music is a melodious mixture of highlife, dancehall, reggae and hip-hop, and has carve a nitch to suites the Ghanaian entertainment industry will be is expected to deliver an undiluted stage craft that seeks to leave a remarkable memory on the mind of the event goers.

He will be performing a host of his from his music catalogue, including hit song off his Untamed Album such as, "Obra", "My Own".
