Ghanaian celebrated DJ, Andrew Amoh, who presents as Andy Dosty has revealed that, the untimely presence of the fast rising artistes has elevated the face of Ghana’s entertainment industry, as they produce good contents that are being played on rotation on various media networks.
The hiplife musician indicated that, foreign content, precisely Nigerian music at a point in time was dominating in the Ghanaian entertainment setting, which became a canker in promoting the indigenous Ghanaian talents.
According to him, Ghanaian music promoters and DJs were keen on giving Nigerians the mileage, adding that, they DJs were mustard to air Nigerian songs until the new crop of artistes came.
The awards winning DJ revealed that, the young musicians are undoubtedly doing their best, as their overwhelming products are hitches for their competitors to penetrate through the Ghanaian market.
Speaking as a guest to DJ Candyman on Atinka 104.7 Fm’s Drive time show dub ‘Drive Talk’ on the Friday, the “Never Give Up” hitmaker revealed categorically that, the new crop of artistes including Kuami Eugene, Kidi, King Promise, Adina have redeemed Ghana’s music industry from this uncertainty with their outstanding talent.
The “Daybreak Hitz” morning show host added that, the new crop of artistes shot to the limelight and took over the waves during an era when the Ghana music industry was going down the drain following infiltration of songs by Nigerian artistes.
Andy Dosty stated that, its encouraging and great to hear people play songs of these new artistes, expressing his joy that, the status quo has finally changed because songs from the young sensational artistes have flooded the airwaves.
Naa Ashorkor, Jay Foley To Host New Morning Show On Joy Prime.
“Prime Morning”, a new morning show soon to air on Joy Prime will star Ghanaian actress Naa Ashorkor alongside radio and television presenter Jay Foley as co-hosts.
For two hours every morning, Naa and Foley will take viewers through a series of motivational, dietary, lifestyle and health, sports, social, financial, traffic reports among other issues to get them ready for each day.
The show, which premieres on Friday the 6th of December 2019, falls in line with Joy Prime’s mission of providing 24 hours of non-stop, real entertainment in Ghana and Across Africa with programmes from the world’s best studios.
AE Media, producers of the show and partners of Multimedia Group on the project, say the show promises to be entertaining, modern, trustworthy and is created to present an unbiased view point for the average Ghanaian viewer.
Known by many for representing Ghana to cover the 2013, 2015 and 2016 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards, Jay Foley and his cohort Naa Ashorkor, two media giants in their own right will look to capture the attention of viewers and get them hooked on a channel that is fast becoming Ghana’s premier entertainment channel.
Prime Morning will premiere on Joy Prime on Friday the 6th of December and will air on Mondays to Fridays from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.

Ghana’s finest Hype man Berima SeanBills (BSB) took center stage as the official MC for Stonebwoy’s annual Ashaiman To The World Concert (ATTWC).
Berima SeanBills who also hails from Ashaiman, took the opportunity to advise ‘his’ people to aim for greatness, as the municipality had produced stars such as Stonebwoy, actor Abraham Attah, footballer Thomas Partey, and many more prominent people.

M-Net Launch Two Kids’s Movie Festivals This December.
This festive season, the whole family can once again enjoy great entertainment from DStv and M-Net Movies with two specially curated kids’ movie festivals for DStv Premium and DStv Access customers. Trace Tv To Extend Its Coverage To Ghana.
JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA (www.goergebritton.com) - Directors and Board management of Afro-pop Malian music channel dedicated to airing Africa's top music artists, Trace TV Africa, has officially announced their intentions of extending the TV channel's coverage to suit the Ghanaian creative arts and entertainment ecosystem, effective from December 18, 2019.
This was announced during the Multichoice Media Showcase 2019 in Johannesburg on Thursday November 21, 2019. Speaking at the Media Showcase, head of content at Multichoice, Aletta Alberts revealed the dedicated block is part of efforts at bridging the gab between music lovers and satisfying the needs of the music consumer from the part of Africa. He revealed the name was not cast in stone and could be reviewed after inputs.
Earlier, Trace TV launched three African music channels on the 1st of September. The three Trace channels are Trace Africa, Trace Mziki, and Trace Naija. Viewers will be able to access the channels in Southern Africa, West Africa and East Africa. The channels will be carried out on the MultiChoice DStv platform. The content for each channel will be specifically curated for that channel’s region.
South Africans will be catered a combination of kwaito, afro-pop, house, rumba, ndombolo, and coupé-décalé. Viewers in East Africa will be etitled Trace Mziki. It will be a channel in both English and Swahili. Viewers will experience the tastes of Tanzanian and Ugandan genres such as bongo flava. While West African countries will be enjoying afro pop, hip life, and afro beats.
Trace TV is extending to include other regions in Africa and will showcase the vast and rich landscape of brilliant African music. This offers more African musicians an opportunity to put their quality sounds on a platform for all to share in. It also adds to the now ever growing infrastructure of the African music industry, by making visible those talented artists who would have otherwise been easily missed.
