Montell Martin is a Jamaican, from Barbados and Antigua. He is a grounded, happy fellow and everybody loves it. He started modelling after a friend’s help.
With Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuitton and Raf Simons on his resume, the 21-year-old British model has made quite a splash in the two short years since kicking off his modelling career.
Martin was snapped up by Select Models in 2015 while working as a promoter for a few London nightclubs. His first season, AW’16, saw him book12 shows in Paris and London, not an easy feat for a new face.
His greatest accomplishment was his clothing line. The Londoner dabbles in fashion design himself, with his label, Stop Snitching Clothing. Carried by retailers such as Harvey Nichols, the streetwear label is proving to be a successful endeavour for the young, “model-preneur” on the rise. Montell is all about making moves and moolah.

Christopher John Rogers – Designer Of The Week!
Christopher John Rogers is quickly becoming a designer to watch. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana, native and Savannah College of Art and Design graduate debuted his Spring 2019 collection last season to great acclaim. With a palette of brightly colored, feminine garments that echo his southern upbringing, Rogers’ intention is clear: to create a world of whimsy with his clothes.
He described the collection as befitting “a deserted California beach that had a midcentury couture salon show on the beach, but on Mars.” Worn by male and female models alike with little regard for traditional gender norms, the clothes had color, volume, fantasy and a sense of humor.
Rogers, poised to be this season’s break-out designer has worked with the likes of Tanya Taylor, Rosie Assoulin, and Chris Benz. Despite the line not yet being his main source of income, Rogers’ pieces have already been seen on some of the hottest female celebrities, including Cardi B and SZA.
Grace Jones (Model Of The Week)
Grace Jones born Beverly Grace Jones on May 19, 1948, in Spanish Town, Jamaica is an Iconic model, singer and actress.
Raised in Syracuse, New York, she found success in the 70s as a model, working in New York and Paris (where she shared an apartment with Jerry Hall and Jessica Lange), before rising to public prominence as a singer and personality.
During this period, she also became a muse to Andy Warhol, appearing in his portraits and accompanying him to Studio 54 on many occasions. Worked with Yves, Saint Laurent and Kenzo and many fashion houses.
Parallel to her musical shift was an equally dramatic visual departure; Jones – working heavily with style artist Jean-Paul Goude – adopted a severe, androgynous look that enhanced her already striking presence, the iconic cover of Nightclubbing exemplifying this new identity.
