Mandem’s Press Listening Scheduled For 18th October, 2019



Kwabena Addae Antwi (born 23rd January), popularly known by his stage name as Mandem is an afro dancehall/afrobeat artist from Ghana.

Mandem was born in Tema and attended Tema Technical Institute where he studied electricals. Mandem’s passion for music started when he was only fourteen (14) years and in junior high school.

He used to listen to musical legends both locally and internationally from whom he learnt how to rap and sing to beats and eventually began to write his own songs.

He started as rapper and later found love for Afro dancehall and afrobeat when he met Vybrant Faya in 2014 (a nominee for best new Artist and reggae/dancehall song) for the first time inside Rekx Studio, Tema.

Vybrant fell in love with his voice and advised him to try more dancehall songs. He has two singles and one music video to his credit and is currently working on his first EP.

On the 18th of October at Bourbon house Cafe in Labone, Mandem is doing his first Press listening and interaction. He’s very confident his contribution to the music industry will bring tremendous excitement.


Stonebwoy Confirmed For AFRIMAs Music Village, Lagos.



LAGOS STATE, NIGERIA - The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMAs) are set to thrill music lovers to an array of more than 30 African artists at the AFRIMAs Music Village at Agege Stadium in Lagos on 21 November. Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy will join more than 30 African artists at the 2019 AFRIMAs Music Village in Lagos on 21 November.

The line-up includes top music stars from across the five African regions and the diaspora. Some of the artists are past winners and current nominees of the pan-African awards. The event, which is expected to run into the early hours of Friday morning, will also host performances from upcoming artists.

Confirmed artists include Tiwa Savage (Nigeria), Stonebwoy (Ghana), Nasty C (South Africa), Sho Madjozi (South Africa), Master KG (South Africa), Awilo Longomba (DRC), Sauti Sol (Kenya), Rayvanny (Tanzania), Daphné (Cameroon), Anna Jone (Angola), Toofan (Togo), Aminux (Morocco) and Kanvee Adams (Liberia).

The Nigerian artists who will be sharing the stage with their African counterparts are 2Baba, Teni, YCee, Pasuma Wonder, Rudeboy, Saheed Osupa, Small Doctor, Skiibi, Niniola, Falz, DJ Spinall and Mr P. Others are DJ Cuppy, 9ice, Fireboy, Atawewe, Harrysong,, Obesere, Slimcase, Mr Reel, Mayorkun, Reminisce and DJ Neptune ad

“It is no doubt this year's AFRIMA Music Village attendees will leave with utmost fulfilment," AFRIMAs head of media Sola Dada said.

"The decision by the AFRIMAs international committee to change venue and take the concert closer to the grassroots in Agege Stadium, mainland Lagos, where diehard and loyal music lovers are, is to avail them the opportunity to experience their favourite African stars perform live on stage.

"From its inception, the concert has catered to its audience, creating an experience that stays with them for a long time. The previous edition in Ghana at the 100 000-capacity Independence Square in Accra left the crowd yearning for more, and the sixth edition will surely surpass previous ones."

Concertgoers will need to buy an official AFRIMAs T-shit at 2 000 naira ($5.50) here to attend he concert, which starts at 6pm. The 2019 edition of the AFRIMAs take place at Eko Hotel on 23 November.

KelvynBoy Readies For December With An Overwhelming List Of Shows.



GREATER ACCRA, GHANA - Following an abrupt termination of his contract by Burniton Music Group (B.M.G) - talent management, recording and distribution hub for breach of classified details, Kelvyn Brown, known within the entertainment habitat as, Kelvyn Boy, has not given up on his musicianship, as he's been billed to thrill patrons at a host of events this festive season.

Rumored to be managed by Blakk Cedi (former Stonebwoy's manager, now an agent) and signed on to Blakk Arm Group, a record label owned by Blakk Cedi, the young lad is still on his fit and will be thrilling fans at some major events in Ghana, including Welcome To Sowutuom, John Agyekum Kufour Concert, Manifestivities, Afrochella, Bolga pool party, and a lot more.

Over the weekend, he was at the Alliance Francaise for the Aftown Music Festival. The first-ever major aftown concert with the vision of the music festival by 2020. His performance on the night was encouraging and appealing to write home about. His dynamic and harmony was exceptional as he performed Nana Ama (Off his Time EP).

On the 23rd of November, Kelvyn Boy will be in St Mary’s and Ghanata Senior High respectively to Baptise the students with some good music. And for the first time returning to his native town, Rapper Medikal will be hosting Kelvyn Boy at the maiden edition of "Welcome In Sowutuom" concert, on the 30th day of November.

Barely a week on, thus, 7th December, he will be honoring former President of Ghana, John Agyekum Kuffuor's invitation to the Giant Unplugged Musical Concert, an event that has the objective of raising funds for the John Agyekum Kufour Foundation to help support the construction of an art theatre in Ghana. He will be on stage on the 22nd December as Awards-winning rapper, Manifest readies to host Manifestivities.

That takes us to 24th December, for the annual December to Remember concert and on the 28th day of December, he will prepare to entertain fans and music enthusiast at the Afrochella festival. On the following day, thus, 29th November, he will be in the Northern part of Ghana for the Bolga Pool Party, and less then 24hours he will be climaxing his tours with an independent show on the 30th December, dubbed KelvynBoy Live In Obuasi.

These are much anticipated events that fans should expect and be assured of an energetic night.

Knii Lante Honored By The Trust Hospital.



Award-wining vocalist and Physician Specialist, Knii Lante, also known as Dr Nii Lante Blankson, was last Saturday November 16, 2019, honored with a Special Award at an event organized by The Trust Hospital (TTH) at the Ibis Styles Accra Airport City Hotel.

The Special Award is recognition by the Doctors of TTH of Knii Lante’s hard work, being the hospital’s first-ever permanent Physician Specialist, who also developed the medical facility’s first-ever treatment protocols for internal medicine and other general practices he initiated.

In receiving the award, Knii Lante, the versatile musician whso masterfully composes music across genres from afro-pop, ballads to reggae, had this to say;

“I’m grateful to all the doctors, my colleagues, who have helped me out in my stay at The Trust Hospital and I’m also grateful to all the nurses who have been there to help us out, the orderlies and everyone.’’

In sharing the news with his fans on social media, @KNIILANTE wrote on his twitter and instagram pages with an accompanying video and photos from the ceremony;

“Hello fam!…i’ve got a message for you all. Remember to stay true to yourself, yet always be open to learning, work hard and never give up on your dreams even when nobody else believes they can come true but you. These are not clichés but real tools you need no matter what you do in life to stay focused on your path.”

He further went on write “I was honored by fellow doctors. Truly it has not been easy but I give thanks. Thanks also to all my colleague doctors, the CEOs (past and present), the nurses, pharmacists, the paramedical staff etc that I’ve worked with. Finally thanks to my family and Deluge Entertainment for putting up with my crazy life and schedules. Love! Kpashhh!!”

Knii Lante is currently promoting his latest afrobeats banger, Baby Be Mine featuring Chymny Crane produced by itzCj Beatz. The video directed by Oshkari Films is almost hitting a 100k views on youtube.

Accra To Host Young African Leaders Summit – 2019.



Hundreds of emerging young leaders from across Africa, will from November 22-23, gather in Accra Ghana for the maiden Young African Leaders Summit (YALS2019).

The Summit will collate ideas from some of the continent’s finest youth figures and aggregate them into relevant themes able to shape policy on the continent. Participants will engage on issues spanning multiple areas including political, social, economic, cultural, and business disciplines.

The Young Politicians and Leaders Network (YPLN), the organising body aims to leverage on this avenue to bring together policy makers, young entrepreneurs, business executives, professionals and start-ups, to discuss various topical issues that pertain to economic empowerment, leadership, and entrepreneurship development.

It is intended to maximise the impact of efforts at grooming these cohorts of leaders.
