5 Foods To Eat For Healthy Flawless Skin

A good skin is an asset and a popular Akan proverb has it that good skin cannot be borrowed. The question is how do you get a good skin?. Having a good one requires a conscious effort and one of such is the food we eat. Food plays a vital role in how our skin looks and in this article, we shall explore the foods that are useful for having a flawless wrinkle-free skin that looks healthy, young and supple.

So who wouldn't want to have flawless skin that  would get noticed any day? Unfortunately, many people struggle so hard to get past skin problems talk less of a gorgeous skin.

There are so many products out there that promise buyers soo many benefits but many will attest to the fact that most of them leave you worse than you were before. That is not to say there are no good skin products out there.

In Ghana, the rate at which people bleach using harmful chemicals and creams is alarming.It has been given all sorts of names such as skin toning. The end results is skin cancer and almighty 'Nanso Oben' among others. I have even heard stories where some women use hair relaxers to bleach their skin and rinse it off with monosodium glutamate. I don't  think getting a nice skin should be this hard.

And then there are the very expensive cosmetic procedures. These complex plastic procedures among others  can give good results almost immediately but the end result is a story for a different day.

 I have seen pictures of celebrities before and after as well as the after-many-years of some of these plastic procedures and can bet if they saw the end  results coming, the would have reconsidered their decisions years ago.

Fortunately, there are a lot of good foods to go to for a healthy skin without these unpleasant side effects. Some of my top list ones are listed below.

Tomatoes are rich in Vitamin C, Lutein, lycopene as well as beta Carotene. They help fight against wrinkling and damage done to the skin through sun exposure.

Fatty Fish
Fatty fish such as mackerel, salmon and cod are a good of  nutrients to the skin. They contain Omega 3 which helps the skin stay healthy.

Sweet Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes are a good source of Vitamin A. They also contain Beta Carotene and help protect the skin from wrinkles, dryness and sun damage.

Red Wine
Red wine is beneficial to the skin as it contains resveratrol which destroys free radicals and help the body fight the aging process.

Sun Flower Seeds
Sunflower seed contain Vitamin E. What it does is to protect the skin against the dangerous effect of direct sunlight on the skin upon exposure. It is also high in fatty acid and helps keep the skin young and  soft 
These are a few of the foods that are beneficial to the skin. Do not forget to take in a lot of water to detox the skin and keep it hydrated. Getting a good skin shouldn't be too hard if you will be willing to make a conscious effort to feed the body with the right foods and you body will adequately reward you.
