Black star international film Festival, a non profit initiative creating global connections through film and helping to bridge the gap between African cinema and the world, earlier today had a press briefing for the second edition of their film Festival.
Executively directed by renowned Ghanaian filmmaker, Juliet Asante, The event which will be running annually brings together filmmakers from all over the world, screens and celebrates films and their makers.
This year's event themed 'For The Young at Heart' has British airways, UNESCO, UNDP, Global Media Alliance, Graphic communications, and Multimedia as partners.
Speaking at the briefing, Head of Media at BSIFF, Ricky Allotey explained that this year's festival is a four day packed event with 12 activities starting on the 18-21 August, were films will be screened at the silver bird cinemas; Accra mall, African Regent Hotel, Mantse Agbona and the Achimota retail center.
Ambassadors for the festival are British-Ghanaian actress Ama K. Abebrese, Elikem Kumordzi, Young actor Abraham Attah amongst others.
