During the 19th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, GH One TV’s presenter Nana Aba Anamoah in the company of the Managing Director of Trace TV West Africa, Sam Onyemelukwe were part of the people who took to stage to present awards on the night but their turn on the stage was greeted with a cut in transmission.
Nana Aba during her presentation asked Sam a question which most Ghanaian music lovers were interested in hearing an answer from Trace TV, interestingly there was a cut in feed. Ghanaians then took to social media to bash TV 3 as they feel it was deliberate and petty on the part of a Media giant looking at the fractured relationship between them and their former employee.
TV3, a subsidiary of Media General quickly took to social media to render an apology for the disruption in coverage but viewers are not having any of that. The media giant has since followed up with an official press statement detailing the main cause of the cut in transmission after their investigations.
It was revealed the cause of the break in transmission was a cut in the feed from Chatter House the producers of the event but that according to counter investigation done by Georgebritton.com may not be true as African Magic Channel 154 which equally picked feeds from Chatter house to the best of our knowledge did not break transmission.
This to us looks like a deliberate attempt by the media group to sabotage their former employee looking back at their unhealthy relationship after her suspension which led to her moving to Gh One Tv where she currently the host the “State of Affairs”, a current affairs program.
