Joselyn Dumas Quits Joy FM Due To Non-Performance?

Published

on

Award-winning television personality and actress, Joselyn Dumas has parted ways with the Multimedia Group seven months after joining the media giant we can report.

Deep throat sources at the media conglomerate revealed that she resigned because she was failing to produce the needed results.

Joselyn Dumas joined the Multimedia Group in March 2018 and was described as ‘talented presenter’ who was set to leave a huge mark at the station.

She was assigned to join Naa Ashorkor and Sammy Forson to help transform the flagship radio station of the group, Joy FM.

The big money signing joined Lexis Bill as the co-host of the station’s late afternoon show, Drive Time on Joy FM.

She was also billed to be hosting shows on Joy News and Joy Prime.

Her signing was greeted with pomp and pageantry as the media group hoped that her coming to the group will help its English speaking station, Joy FM outclass its competitors.

Seven months down the lane, the actress parts way with the Media Group for reasons best known to the company and the actress.

Her signing was said to have caused disaffection amongst staff members at the media firm as her role was not clearly defined.

Some of the staff believed that there were already enough capable hands to execute her tasks and hence her signing was unnecessary.

We further gathered from an impeccable source within the company that she parted ways with the company for non-performance.

Published

on

It’s been eight years since Oprah Winfrey signed off her popular talk show, but the itch to revive the platform is still there.

Winfrey told ET Canada’s Cheryl Hickey that she has thought about a reboot during an interview which aired last night on Entertainment Tonight.

“I would love to make that happen, let me tell you. But maybe not every day,” Winfrey said. “For 25 years, it was perfect.” She added: “The only time I missed it was during the election or when something really big happens in the news. I think, ‘Oh, gee, I wish I had a show.'”

The conversation took place as Winfrey was out promoting her new book, The Path Made Clear: Discovering Your Life’s Direction and Purpose.
“My path became clear the moment, I remember it actually, when I flew into Chicago,” she said. “I thought, ‘If the show isn’t successful, then I’m going to go into advertising.'”

All of the book proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Attala County, Mississippi, where Winfrey grew up.

Kwame Sefa Kayi Turns Down ‘Offer’ To Host The VGMAs?

Published

on

Revered broadcaster, philanthropist and and public speaker Kwame Sefa Kayi also known as ‘Chairman General’ is said to have turned down an ‘opportunity’ to host the anticipated 20 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Securing the services of a good MC or host is equally important as any other facet of a succesful event hence Charterhouse’s decision to fall on Kwame Sefa Kayi for this year’s edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which marks the event’s 20 years since inception.

However, organizers have been hit with a major disappointment as Kwame Sefa Kayi is unable to host the show, a close source tells Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture & Urban Entertainment – www.nydjlive.com.

Our source tells us organizers are disappointed as the choice of host for the awards show had to let them down in the last hour.

It is immediately unknown what led to the decision to turn down the ‘opportunity’.

“Charterhouse is disturbed over Kwame Sefa Kayi’s inability to host the 20 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. It’s a big blow and this is mainly because the news came in at the last hour.” – our source tells www.nydjlive.com

Baring any last minute changes, there should be a new host for 20 VGMAs.

The Ghana Music Awards stage is not new to Kwame Sefa Kayi as he has since the inception of the awards scheme hosted it on several occasions.

The question now is, who hosts the historic 20 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards?

Reliable information available to Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture & Urban Entertainment – www.nydjlive.com indicates radio and Television personalities Giovani Caleb and Sika Osei would host the red carpet of the event which comes off on Saturday May 18, 2019.
