The 2018 African Achievers Awards which was held on July 5th, 2018 at the UK House of Parliament has presented various honours to distinguished Africans from across the continent and in the diaspora.
The ceremony which was chaired by Susan Fajana Thomas -former Mayor of the London Borough of Hackney & Chairperson of the African Achievers Awards Board and hosted by Rt. Hon. Diane Abbott (Current Shadow Home Secretary, United Kingdom) was held on the theme; Girls right to Education; a case for Africa.
Speakers at the ceremony included: H. E Jewel Cianeh Howard Taylor, vice president of Liberia, who delivered the Keynote Address, Dr Josephine Ojiambo, Immediate past Deputy Secretary General of the Commonwealth as special Guest Speaker, Justina Mutale, founder of the Justina Mutale Foundation and Author, Novelist and Poet, Titi Horsfall.
Lindsey Oliver, Founding Director of Aljezeera & Mo Abudu, Founder of Ebony Life TV also delivered goodwill messages at the ceremony.
Now in its 8th edition, the awards has consistently honoured great African Achievers from African Leaders, Young Achievers, and Community Builders to Captains of Industries across the continent.
Speaking at the event, Principal Partner of the award, Tonye Rex Idaminabo congratulated all the winners and urged them to extend their experience through mentorship to teaming young people across Africa.

3Music Awards Introduces New Voting System (*713*2#)
The 2019 3Music Awards have added yet another dimension to the scheme, with a flexible voting process to accommodate growing public participation.
Instead of the cumbersome multiple Mobile voting short-codes for Nominees, Fans/Users will be able to access any/all Categories with just a dial of one short-code; 7132#.
Configuration and Voting options are diverse and allows Fans/Users to vote a hundred times at a go.
Social Media Voting:
Social media will play a significant part in the voting process by which winners are determined. This voting feature will contribute to a percentage of a Nominee’s total votes (including Mobile and Academy votes).

HIPHOP AFRICA To Launch With Its Maiden Concert.
The official launch of Hiphop Africa’ will take place with the brand’s maiden concert at Efua Sutherland Park in Accra, Ghana on Saturday the 16th of February 2019.
The show is expected to host top notch hip-hop artist from the African continent; Chocolate city boys AQ, lose canon led by their CEO, M.I, alongside top Ghanaian rappers.
The Genre comes with lot of fun activities, and for the day will be exciting activities such as Skating, Rap Battles, Basketball, Grafities and Dance competition. Fashion designers won’t be left out as they will have the chance to exhibit most of their product at the various stands at the event.
Speaking with the CEO of HIPHOP Africa he mentioned; this is an experience and an event coming to Accra and across the continent but the birthplace is our motherland Ghana.

3Music Awards Releases Nominees For This Year’s Edition of The Awards Ceremony.
3Music, organizers of 3Music Awards have released nominations of various categories for public distribution, as it is set to stage this season’s edition of the award ceremony which is slated to occur on the third month, March this year.
The artistes selected for each category for this year’s edition of the awards were nominated based on their artistic prowess of releasing hit songs and staging sold out events single handedly under the year of review.
Multimedia Group Limited(MGL) under the able management of Dr. Kwesi Twum earlier this year emerged as official partners with 3Music Awards Ghana after the award scheme ended it contractual dealings with Media General Ghana Limited, Tv3 abruptly.
R2bees, Bethel Revival Choir-GEC, Dope Nation and La Meme Gang will be contending each other in the music group of the year category, as Stonebwoy’s Epistles of Mama Album, Bonyfied Album owned by Ebony, Shatta Wale’s Reign Album, I Believe by Diana Hamilton, Epixode’s 3Nity Album, Highlife Concert by Bisa Kdei, Akwaboah’s Matters of the Heart, and Joe Mettle’s God Of Miracles album will be battling each other to emerge winner of the category.
The awards ceremony will be staged at a 20,000 seater capacity, Fantasy Dome, La-Accra, with coordinators promising music lovers an outstanding edition of the occasion, accompanied with lots of surprises, adding that, the 2019 version of the honors will be “greater and better”.

Reign Album: Shatta Wale Set To Host A Nationwide Concert.
Award winning self-acclaimed Reggae/Dancehall King, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, known on stage as Shatta Wale has declared his intentions of taking his Billboard ranked Reign Album to the various regions of Ghana.
This nationwide tour is with the objective of providing his fans all over the country , especially those who weren’t present during the Reign Album launch a glimpse of the album and artiste energetic performance.
The nationwide tour is also intended to expand the Shatta Movement diaspora across the nation that will be a possible avenue for him to market his products at ease.
Shatta Wale after the Reign Album launch embarked on a world tour which saw him visiting many countries around the world delivering much dexterity in his endeavor.
