Weeks after quitting Metro TV, Frema Ashkar lands at new entrant, Citi TV as news anchor.
Though for the past weeks she has been consistent posting on social media the Citi TV logo, she Yesterday for the first time posted the picture of her below at work looking flawless as she shares her experiences at work on her first day.
Ashkar is the latest to join the Omni Media Limited owned station following her three year stint with Metro TV.
Though Ashkar joined Citi to anchor the burgeoning channel’s prime news program, and was to start work on Monday, July 9th, she made her first screen appearance yesterday.
Before joining Metro TV, Frema worked at TV3 and ETV and also has experience as a radio host.
She joined TV3 in 2007 as a senior news anchor and, a reporter for 4years before joining ETV news

Mr Agyekum Gyimah Akwasi is a radio connoisseur with over a decade experience in radio both as a presenter and a manager of various departments. He has plethora of experience gathered as the Programs Manager for Beach Fm and Spice Fm and hosted the drive-time on Beach Fm where he helped transform the local oriented radio station into Takoradi’s number 1 urban brand in 2018.
He has also worked with Melody Fm in Takoradi as a drive time host and assistant programs manager as well as the Regional Marketing Manager of Prime Stone Quarries.
Formerly the Human Resource Manager & Operations manager of Delta Flash Intervention one of Ghana’s premium security companies.
Until his recent appointment with YFM Takoradi, Mr Agyekum was the Host of Takoradi’s most vibrant late afternoon show; Maxx Overdrive on Radio Maxx where he also doubled as the Events Manager for Kyzz Fm and Radio Maxx.
A product of Sunyani Polytechnic where he studied Accounting, He is the C.E.O of Power Haus Promotions an event house which organizes Ghana’s official Street Skating and Arts festival; Skate Fest which has been organised annually in the last 4 years in Takoradi.
He likes listening to music, reading, learning new things and spending time with his family.

Prolific on air personality Giovani Elolo Caleb, the voice that for the past year’s drove listeners home after a hard days work on Starr 103.5 FM and co-host of GHOne TV’s Duvet leaves his post Georgebritton.com can confirm.
The multiple award winning Radio and Television personality who joined Starr 103.5 FM as a broadcast journalist after his time with YFM and Live 91.9 FM leaves his enviable position with no reasons for his departure.
The graduate in psychology from the University of Ghana before his huge media exposure was with Radio Univers throughout his school days.
To disclose his departure from the EIB network, the presenter took to his Instagram page earlier today to announce his resignation and thanked his listeners, viewers, his team, the entire EIB network and Bola Ray for the opportunity.
”There are decisions that are very hard to make, but there comes a time in our life where God’s plans supersedes our own. I want to use this opportunity to thank EIB NETWORK for the amazing journey. There has been a wanton of reports pointing to the fact that all is not well at EIB, hence the current exit of staff. The young champ is said to be heading to Media General, owners of TV3 but as at the time of filing this report we couldn’t confirm from him or otherwise such reports. Ghanaian celebrated DJ, Andrew Amoh, who presents as Andy Dosty has revealed that, the untimely presence of the fast rising artistes has elevated the face of Ghana’s entertainment industry, as they produce good contents that are being played on rotation on various media networks.
The hiplife musician indicated that, foreign content, precisely Nigerian music at a point in time was dominating in the Ghanaian entertainment setting, which became a canker in promoting the indigenous Ghanaian talents.
According to him, Ghanaian music promoters and DJs were keen on giving Nigerians the mileage, adding that, they DJs were mustard to air Nigerian songs until the new crop of artistes came.
The awards winning DJ revealed that, the young musicians are undoubtedly doing their best, as their overwhelming products are hitches for their competitors to penetrate through the Ghanaian market.
Speaking as a guest to DJ Candyman on Atinka 104.7 Fm’s Drive time show dub ‘Drive Talk’ on the Friday, the “Never Give Up” hitmaker revealed categorically that, the new crop of artistes including Kuami Eugene, Kidi, King Promise, Adina have redeemed Ghana’s music industry from this uncertainty with their outstanding talent.
The “Daybreak Hitz” morning show host added that, the new crop of artistes shot to the limelight and took over the waves during an era when the Ghana music industry was going down the drain following infiltration of songs by Nigerian artistes.
Andy Dosty stated that, its encouraging and great to hear people play songs of these new artistes, expressing his joy that, the status quo has finally changed because songs from the young sensational artistes have flooded the airwaves.
