The app which is downloadable on the App Stores and available to students located in 146 countries allows students to search for education and scholarship opportunities, apply and receive offer letters within minutes.
The model which seemed highly impossible from the beginning has rather surprisingly proven formidable and scalable, haven’t earned quite an impressive league of over 40+ University partners and over 2000+ Applications already processed on the platform.
Caroline known for her innovativeness seeks to make international student recruitment the most fun and easiest thing to do.
In her words ‘I wouldn’t want students waiting weeks on admission offers neither do I want Institutions taking weeks to decide on student’s applications. Ghana’s Chris Koney Selected For 2019 GES Press Visitors Program.
The world’s attention will be focused on The Hague from June 3rd to 5th 2019 when the Netherlands Government in collaboration with the U.S. Government hosts the 2019 Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES). Expected patrons will include about 1,200 hand-picked entrepreneurs who will engage with over 300 investors managing trillions of dollars of assets, as well as top policymakers, corporate partners and thought leaders to accelerate solutions.
This year’s edition of the GES is symbolic as it will be the first time the annual gathering of entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, and thought leaders from around the world will be held in Europe. The 2019 GES will provide a unique event: a combination of an innovation marketplace and policy forum.
As part of the 2019 GES, the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Netherlands Enterprise Agency and “Free Press Unlimited” is organizing a one week Press Visitors Programme for selected journalists, media and communications professionals around the world.
In addition to the official GES events, participants of the Press Visitors Programme will be involved in a round table discussion on business models and technology in journalism before visiting one of the biggest newspaper outfit in the Netherlands, De Volkskrant. They will have a session at the Free Press Unlimited for a debrief of the 2019 GES.
Confirmed participants for the Press Visitors Programme include Ghanaian Communications Expert and Journalist, Chris Koney, Nigerian Media Entrepreneur, Adebola Williams,Qaris Tajudin, Director at Tempo Institute (an institution under Tempo Media Group that provides education of journalism and supports democratization in Indonesia), seasoned Pakistani Journalist and Writer Sohaib Jamali. Others are Saudi – Arabian Journalist and Political Communication Specialist, Ms. Shaikha Al-Dosary, Tanzanian Ms. Koleta Ferdinand Makulwa who reports on Agriculture, Science and Technology and Ms. Mai Ezzat from Egypt.
Initiated nearly a decade ago by the U.S. Government, the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) is the pre-eminent annual gathering of entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, and thought leaders from around the world, providing a unique event that is a combination of an innovation marketplace and policy forum. GES 2019 is the first GES held in the European Union.
Since 2010, an estimated 20,000 emerging leaders having participated in GES, governments and the private sector have committed to provide over $1 billion in new capital to entrepreneurs worldwide. Ministry of Information Organizes Seminar on Roadmap for RTI Implementation.
The Minisitry of Information, the Implementing Agency of the Right To Information(RTI) act led by, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has organized a workshop on the roadmap for the implementation of the RTI act in the capital city, Accra.
The small brief intensive course for a small group that is emphasized on problem solving is part of the series of mechanisms arrayed to enlighten patrons, including civil society groups and state agencies including UNESCO, RTI Coalition, Media Coalition on RTI.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo–Addo on 22nd May 2019 gave assent to the Right to Information (RTI) Act that was passed by Parliament in March, this year.
The RTI Law seeks to give effect, to Article 21 (1) (f) of the 1992 constitution of the Republic of Ghana which states that all persons shall have the right to information subject to such qualifications and laws as are necessary for a democratic society.
It also seeks to operationalize the constitutional right to information by the public, and some private institutions, subject to exemptions that are necessary and consistent to safeguarding the public interest in a democratic state.
Participants attending the workshop on roadmap for implementation have been drawn from civil society groups and state agencies including UNESCO, RTI Coalition, Media Coalition on RTI and members from the , constitutional, legal and parliamentary affairs committee of Parliament.
Addressing the opening ceremony, minister for Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said, the workshop was part of measures to get stakeholders aligned and acquainted with the processes before full implementation of the RTI in January 2020.
The honorable minister stated that, the RTI is a product of collaboration, adding that, it is therefore important to bring stakeholders back on the table for the roadmap for implementation.
Minister of Information, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said, the workshop will also afford participants the opportunity to make suggestions and inputs on the draft roadmap for a smooth implementation.
2 Ghanaian Entrepreneurs Remind Africans At The Harvard Business, School Of Their Ancestry With A Gift.
Two of Ghana’s tenacious entrepreneurs; Mr. Selorm H.K Fiadjoe and Mr. C. Makafui Dey Sadika at the Harvard Business School after the African Forward conference presented the painting of an ”African Village” to the African Business Club of the revered University.
The opus of work by Mozzay was given as a symbolic cultural gesture of the African people to foster relations and to remind the Africans in the diaspora of their communal duty of coming back home to help.
The young artist (Mozzy) is successfully signed on to a creative talent hub (https://www.worldctalenthubb.com/). His works over the years points to positively changing the African narrative through a visual display.
The image in the art piece which was gifted represents a village which is the community we are all part of, the combined effort of every village member to ensure the eventual success and development of this village. It also showcases how important every member of this village is in its growth process. In elementary terms, its talking, ‘’unity in development’’.During the presentation on behalf of all the exceptional Ghanaians, Selorm and Makafui congratulated the executives of the African Business Club for such conference which is goal-focused on the growth of Africa.
