Amaarae Swims Into Summer With The Video For Her Single “Fluid”

Apple Music Africa’s “Favorite New Artist for the Month” in April 2018, the beautiful R&B crooner, Amaarae drops her first video on the 7th day of June, 2018.

The “Fluid” video, a masterpiece of simple, stark artistry and creativity, is the first video from the singer’s debut album “Passionfruit Summers”. Shot in Accra, the video introduces the artist visually for the first time to a broader audience.

Born in New York and raised in Accra, Atlanta and New Jersey, Ama Serwah Genfi, known in music circles as “Amaarae” is a petite, soulful singer, songwriter and producer with a unique sound characterized by an eclectic blend of bold yet sexy lyricism and longing vulnerable melodies. An English and Poetry graduate from Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, the “Shawty with the Bald Head” saunters effortlessly through her first album “Passionfruit Summers” which she released on all major online music platforms on November 31st, 2017. Amaarae’s soft, sexy vocals evoke a haunting sense of love lost and heartbreak on the Passionfruit Summers album, which features 6 songs.

The singer has been on the underground music scene since she was 17 and has produced several demos including rap, hip-hop and R&B. The now 23 year old, credits her unique sound to her understanding of the dynamics of instruments and sound and how they work together to facilitate emotions. Amaarae is on a quest to sway her listeners from melancholy to joy and there is no stopping her! She is also featured on Stonebwoy’s Epistles of Mama Album in collaboration with Stonebwoy and Edem on the song “Pepperdem”.

Shatta Wale Pleads To Akuffo Addo.

The dancehall artist, in an interview with Caleb Giovanni on Starr Fm, cried out to to the president of Ghana to hasten his plans to fix the economy.

The controversial artist who went over to the studio to talk about his upcoming album, stressed on the status quo and the long complains of suffering.

“Let’s feel the promises on the ground. Walk the talk. Listen to us. We are suffering”

He pleaded that provisions should be made so ordinary civilians can directly reach the president as a way to keep him post with daily happenings.

Shatta Wale affirms his faith in the sitting president and absolute he will live up to expectations.

On his album, Shatta Wate stated he has 17 tracks on the album.
“We are targeting the whole Africa so we are being very strategic with the album”

The album is said to be launched on 13th October, 2018. At the fantasy dome, Trade Fair.

If you went shopping for Sister Deborah’s wedding, then we are sorry to disappoint you. 

Sister Deborah, born Deborah Vanessa Owusu, one of the controversial musicians in Ghana may not be considering marriage anytime soon.

In an interview with Kwesi Omega, the “Uncle Obama” Singer said, she is not under pressure from home to get married, adding that her boyfriend, Medikal’s actions and inactions tell best whether or not they will soon get married.

“I grew up with my mum, she is an open minded person and she is not putting me under any pressure to marry or make babies” she said.

Commenting on when she and Medikal will be getting married, she noted, “I have no idea when me and Medikal will get married, you should be able to tell from Medikal’s vibe what he thinks about marriage or better still get him here and ask him”.

Sister Deborah, who is currently promoting her new single “Pure Water” will be 34 on August 25 and she is putting together a free concert for her fans at Carbon Night Club. Dare miss it!
