Samini And Stonebwoy Denied Entry At The Reign Album Launch?

Published

on

The feud between Samini, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale one may say is good for the business, but as to how it’s going, if care is not taken, it may lead to a catastrophic end.

Samini and Stonebwoy we heard on Saturday were denied access to the Fantacy dome, but we overlooked the allegations just to wake up this morning to Samini’s tweet congratulating Shatta Wale and adding how they were denied entry. Wow!

The tweet from the God father reads,
“Congrats @shattawalegh on your album launch.just like you once wanted to surprise me on saminifest stage and I let you, I’d wanted to do the same but I waited in the car together with @stonebwoyb for over an hour only to be told you refused the gesture.
#supportourown huh??😂🤦🏾‍♂️”

This certainly doesn’t sound good for show business, but, responding sharply to Samini’s tweet, Shatta Wale expressed shock and said this comes as news to him.

He responded, “Oh ! ,how , this is news to me .. sorry if this was da case … am very very sorry .. it wld hv bn nice !!! 🙏🏿🙏🏿 thnx for da support #TheReigAlbum”

I guess Samini and Stonebwoy finds his apology worth accepting and to put rest to any upcoming banter between them.

The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has set June 28, 2019 as the date for its national elections with regional elections following on October 25, 2019. This will be followed by its 2nd Biennial Conference in Accra on June 25, 2020. The elections will elect a new leadership for the Union after the term of the current executive under the leadership of its President Bice Osei Kuffour aka Obour.

This was announced by the General Secretary of the Union, Deborah Freeman at its 1st Biennial Conference in Cape Coast. The conference was under the theme Building a Vibrant Union for National Development.

Speaking as the Guest of Honor at the conference, the Central Regional Minister, Hon Kwamena Duncan assured the Union of government’s support in its work to ensure the welfare of musicians in the country.

Hon Duncan congratulated the Union for successfully holding its first biennial conference and called on musicians to continue to play a meaningful role in society through music that uplifts, heals and guides our nation.

MUSIGA President, Bice Osei Kuffour called on government to reintroduce music education into our basic school curriculum to ensure our youth enjoy the benefits of pedagogy and also create jobs for the teeming number of musicians with teaching skills.

He also called on government to make the KPMG’s Comprehensive Study on the Music Sector, a focal point of its interventions in the music sector. Obour also recounted the work the Union has done under his leadership.

The Trades Union Congress (TUC) Deputy Secretary General, Joshua Ansah said the informal sector of the economy has a huge impact on national development and musicians play a crucial in it.
A former president of the Union, Alhaji Sidiku Buari called on government to reintroduce tax waivers for the importation of musical instruments into the country to create more jobs for musicians. Diana Hopeson the immediate past president of MUSIGA who is also 2nd Vice President of GHAMRO explained the different roles the two organizations play in the music sector.

He noted that since MUSIGA is a member of the Union of Informal Workers Association (UNIWA) which is affiliated to the TUC, MUSIGA it will benefit from the technical support the TUC provides.

Shatta Wale “Reigns” On “After The Storm” As 19,000 Plus Filled The Fantasy Dome.

Published

on

The honcho of the Shatta Movement, Charles Nii Armah, known as Shatta Wale yesterday 13th October 2018 single handedly filled the Fantasy Dome as he launched his Reign Album.

Amidst all the hate, “beef” and controversy surrounding his album, the album has been trending for a week and rose to enviable positions on charts world wide before the official launch yesterday. The Shatta Movement boss shocked Ghana as he wrote his name in the stars with his album launch which will go down in History as the biggest gathering ever seen for an album launch.

Unconventional Shatta palpably was at his best yesterday, known as the man with surprises. He did not disappoint one bit. Oh yeah! He delivered above and beyond our expectations.

The first surprise was when Shatta Wale who has been written off when it comes to live performance melded his singing and the play of the band beautifully to thrill fans who sang every line from start till end.

Another surprise of the night came when the Dancehall King attempted to sell the first copy of the album for a GHC 100,000 but to his surprise, Ghanaian businessman known as SLG bought the album for GHC 150,000.

He later during his back to back performances attempted to dash a Sarkodie fan one of his Gold chains. I guess that was to tell Sark he is not an “Alumi King” as speculated.

Shatta throughout his performance took swipes and threw shades at colleagues and people who are considered his “enemies” in the industry and try to sabotage his good works.

Just as we thought we have had enough of the Dance Hall kings pile of surprises, the unexpected happened.

Shatta Wale brought on stage his children during he and his baby mamas performance and proposed marriage to Shatta Michy his fiancé who became his baby mama and now soon to be Mrs Nii Armah. As to when the two will walk down the aisle, we have no idea, but will update you as we lay hands on the gist.

Ghanaians have seen great musicians who have lived their time, but from what I saw yesterday, nothing like the Shatta Wale of our time has been seen yet. Oh, I can confidently say he is the greatest of this generation and will “Reign” on.

Congratulations to Shatta and his team, not forgetting the Shatta Movement who made yesterday a memorable one. Make sure you grab a copy of the album in support of his music and works.
