In 2009, this powerhouse entrepreneur founded Virtual Linguistic Solutions. She spent the next several years developing it into one of the leading copywriting and translating companies in Ghana.
But by 2015, she was ready to spread her wings even more and decided to start another company: Organic Trade & Investments (OTI).

Farida Nana Efua Bedwei, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Logiciel (Ghana) Ltd
Farida is Co-Founder of Logiciel, Software Company developing banking systems for the microfinance industry. Her role involves assessing the industry and coming up with practical solutions, which are easy to use by persons with no formal banking training. She believes the informal sector, which make up between 60%-70% of the population across Africa, deserve the same banking services as those in the formal sector.
Prior to co-founding Logiciel, Farida worked in the telecom software industry, developing mobile gateways and services for mobile networks and content providers.

Regina Honu is a Ghanaian Social Entrepreneur, software developer and founder of Soronko Solutions, a software development company in Ghana. She opened Soronko Academy, the first coding and Human-centered design school for children and young adults in West Africa.

Okyeame Kwame, Wife Present Third Edition Of ‘Flaunt Your Lover’
People’s orientation of Valentine’s Day keep changing from the conventional practice of living debauched lifestyles to fostering productive relationships.
Ghanaian musician Okyeame Kwame and his wife, Annica Nsiah-Apau, have for the past years brought lovers together to celebrate true love in the month of love – February.
This year, the event will be held on February 23, 2019 at Pearly Gates at East Legon, on the East Legon Police Station road.
The programme brings together partners to have a good time and also honour them.
Even though it does not fall on Valentine’s Day, it being held in February (the month of love) truly represents the objects of the event.
This year’s ‘Flaunt your lover’ which is the third edition, will go beyond music and dance. It is going to be a movie in the park event for the lovers to regale themselves with.
Patrons will watch a movie and have discussions on relationship issues. There will be music, good food, a Q&A session and opportunities for networking.
The programme starts at 8pm prompt.
Even before the programme, Okyeame Kwame and his wife Annica had taken to social media to share their expectations for the programme.
Last year, the love partners were treated to quality entertainment and food at the Alisa Hotel amidst a talk by a prominent marriage counselor.
According to Annica Nsia-Apau, who is the manager and wife of Okyeame Kwame, they expect use the event to deepen the bonds between married couples and people in love.
She also urged people on love to be part of the event.
Currently, Okyeame Kwame is out with his new single ‘Bra’ ahead of the release of the ‘Made in Ghana’ album.
King Promise To Represent Ghana At The Annual Amsterdam Pop Music Festival(Oh My Festival).
Ghanaian born songwriter and Afro-pop singer, Gregory Bortey Promise Newman, who professionally performs on stage as King Promise is billed to execute a performance at this year’s edition of Oh My! Music Festival, an Amsterdam Urban Pop Music Festival.
The ”Tokyo” crooner is the only performing art brand from Ghana to represent this particular geographic location on the continent at the musical concert which is been slated for June 29, 2019 at the Arena Park in Amsterdam.
Oh My! Music Festival is an annual urban music festival in Amsterdam. The largest of its kind in Europe, the festival attracts people from all over the world to celebrate hip hop and R&B.
With a lineup that mixes international with national stars such as Meek Mill, Tory Lanez, Wizkid, Lil Baby and others as well as the upcoming stars of tomorrow, Oh My! Music Festival is the main destination for urban music fans.

A Rocha Ghana Hosts Atewa Exhibition On January 30.
A Rocha Ghana, an environmental NGO together with partners presents and invites the general public to the first Atewa Exhibition at the British Council, Accra. The exhibition is under the theme: ”Securing Atewa for Prosperity and Wellbeing beyond Today”.
The menace and impact of galamsey has affirmed the urgent need to secure Ghana’s natural heritage and water sources for our wellbeing today and that of generations unborn. To achieve this, there is an urgent need for Ghana to prioritize ”green landscape” development strategies and build socio-economic resilient frameworks to sustain it developmental agenda. Against this background, we need to secure Atewa forest against all odds and generate public independent actions to encourage government to reverse bauxite-mining plans and ensure the long-term sustainability of the forest landscape.
Importance of Atewa Forest Reserve
The Atewa Forest, found in the Eastern Region, is the source of the Densu River, which feeds the Weija Dam and several water treatment plants. Also the source of two other important rivers; the Birim and Ayensu, which together provides water to at least 5 million people in Greater Accra, Eastern Region and the Central Region of Ghana. It is also home to over 100 identified critically endangered plant and animal species, some of which are rare and cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
